When shipping a product overseas, the exporter must be aware of International packing, labeling, documentation, and insurance requirements. It is important that exporters ensure that the merchandise is:

Packed correctly so that it arrives in good condition;

Labeled correctly to ensure that the goods are handled properly and arrive on time at the right place;

Documented correctly to meet U.S. and foreign government requirements, as well as proper collection standards; and

Insured against damage, loss, pilferage and delay.

Most exporters rely on an international freight forwarder to perform these services because of the multitude of considerations involved in physically exporting goods.

International Freight Forwarders

An international freight forwarder is an agent for the exporter in moving cargo to an overseas destination. These agents are familiar with the import rules and regulations of foreign countries, the export regulations of the U.S. government, the methods of shipping, and the documents related to foreign trade. Export freight forwarders are licensed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to handle air freight and the Federal Maritime Commission to handle ocean freight.

Freight forwarders assist exporters in preparing price quotations by advising on freight costs, port charges, consular fees, costs of special documentation, insurance costs, and their handling fees. They recommend the packing methods that will protect the merchandise during transit or can arrange to have the merchandise packed at the port or containerized. If the exporter prefers, freight forwarders can reserve the necessay space on a vessel, aircraft, train, or truck. The cost for their services is a legitimate export cost that should be included in the price charged to the customer .

Once the order is ready for shipment, freight forwarders should be review all documents to ensure that everything is in order. This is of particular importance with letter of credit payment terms. They may also prepare the bill of lading and any special required documentation. After shipment, they can route the documents to the seller, the buyer, or to a paying bank. Freight forwarders can also make arrangements with customs brokers overseas to ensure that the goods comply with customs export documentation regulations. A customs broker is an individual or company that is licensed to transact customs business on behalf of others. Customs business is limited to those activities involving transactions related to the entry and admissibility of merchandise; its classification and valuation; the payment of duties, taxes, or other charges assessed or collected; or the refund, rebate, or drawback thereof.

International Packaging

Exporters should be aware of the demands that international shipping puts on packaged goods. Exporters should jeep four potential problems in mind when designing an export shipping crate: breakage, moisture, pilferage and excess weight.

Generally, cargo is carried in containers, but sometimes it is still shipped as breakbulk cargo. Besides the normal handling encountered in domestic transportation, a breakbulk shipment transported by ocean freight may be loaded aboard vessels in a net or by a sling, conveyor, or chute, that puts an added strain on the package. During the voyage, goods may be stacked on top of or come into violent contact with other goods. Overseas, handling facilities may be less sophisticated than in the United States and the cargo could be dragged, pushed, rolled, or dropped during unloading, while moving through customs, or in transit to the final destination.

Moisture is a constant concern because condensation may develop in the hold of a ship even if it is equipped with air conditioning and a dehumidifier. Another aspect of this problem is that cargo may also be unloaded in precipitation, or the foreign port may not have covered storage facilities. Theft and pilferage are added risks.

Buyers are often familiar with the port systems overseas, so they will often specify packaging requirements. If the buyer does not specify this, be sure the goods are prepared using these guidelines:

Pack in strong containers, adequately sealed and filled when possible. Consider wooden crates.

To provide proper bracing in the container, regardless of size, make sure the weight is evenly distributed.

Goods should be palletized and when possible containerized.

Packages and packing filler should be made of moisture-resistant material.

To avoid pilferage, avoid writing contents or brand names on packages. Other safeguards include using straps, seals, and shrink wrapping.

Observe any product-specific hazardous materials packing requirements.

One popular method of shipment is to use containers obtained from carriers or private leasing companies. These containers vary in size, material, and construction and accommodate most cargo, but they are best suited for standard package sizes and shapes. Also, refrigerated and liquid bulk containers are usually readily available. Some containers are no more than semi-truck trailers lifted off their wheels, placed on a vessel at the port of export and then transferred to another set of wheels at the port of import.

Normally, air shipments require less heavy packing than ocean shipments, though they should still be adequately protected, especially if they are highly pilferable. In many instances, standard domestic packing is acceptable, especially if the product is durable and there is no concern for display packaging. In other instances, high-test (at least 250 pounds per square inch) cardboard or tri-wall construction boxes are more than adequate.

Finally, because transportation costs are determined by volume and weight, specially reinforced and lightweight packing materials have been developed for exporting. Packing goods to minimize volume and weight while reinforcing them may save money, as well as ensure that the goods are properly packed. It is recommended that a professional firm be hired to pack the products if the supplier is not equipped to do so. This service is usually provided at a moderate cost.

Package Labeling

Specific marking and labeling is used on export shipping cartons and containers to:

Meet International shipping regulations;

Ensure proper handling;

Conceal the identity of the contents;

Help receivers identify shipments; and

Insure compliance with environmental and safety standards.

The overseas buyer usually specifies which export marks should appear on the cargo for easy identification by receivers. Products can require many markings for international shipment. For example, exporters need to put the following markings on cartons to be shipped:

Shipper’s mark;

Country of origin (U.S.A.);

Weight marking (in pounds and in kilograms);

Number of packages and size of cases (in inches and centimeters);

Handling marks (international pictorial symbols);

Cautionary markings, such as “This Side Up” or “Use No Hooks” (in English and in the language of the country of destination);

Port of entry;

Labels for hazardous materials (universal symbols adapted by the International Airi Transport Association and the International Maritime Organization); and;

Ingredients (if applicable, also included in the language of the destination country).

International Packages should be clearly marked to prevent misunderstandings and delays in shipping. Letters are generally stenciled onto packages and containers in waterproof ink. Markings should appear on three faces of the container, preferably on the top and on the two ends or the two sides. Ant old markings must be completely removed from previously used packaging.

In addition to the port marks, the customer identification code, and an indication of origin, the marks should include the package number, gross and net weights, and dimensions. If more than one package is being shipped, the total number of packages in the shipment should be included in the markings. The exporter should also add any special handling instructions. It is a good idea to repeat these instructions in the language of the country of destination. and use standard international shipping and handling symbols.

Customs regulations regarding freight labeling are strictly enforced. For example, many countries require that the country of origin be clearly labeled on each imported package. Most freight forwarders and export packing specialists can supply the necessary information regarding specific regulations.

International Documentation

Exporters should seriously consider having the freight forwarder handle the formidable amount of documentation that exporting requires as forwarders are specialists in this process. The following documents are commonly used in exporting; but which of them are necessary in a particular transaction depends on the requirements of the U.S. government and the government of the importing country.

Air freight shipments are handled by air waybills, which can never be made in negotiable form.

A bill of lading is a contract between the owner of the goods and the carrier (as with domestic shipments). For vessels, there are two types: a straight bill of lading which is nonnegotiable and a negotiable or shipper’s order bill of lading. The latter can be bought, sold, or traded while the goods are in transit. The customer usually needs an original as proof of ownership to take possession of the goods for a Short Form Straight Bill of Lading for a Liner Bill of Lading).

A commercial invoice is a bill for the goods from the seller to the buyer. These invoices are often used by governments to determine the true value of goods when assessing customs duties. Governments that use the commercial invoice to control imports will often specify its form, content, number of copies, language to be used, and other characteristics.

A consular invoice is a document that is required in some countries. It describes the shipment of goods and shows information such as the consignor, consignee, and value of the shipment. Certified by the consular official of the foreign country stationed here, it is used by the country’s customs officials to verify the value, quantity, and nature of the shipment.

A certificate of origin is a document that is required in certain nations. It is a signed statement as to the origin of the export item. Certificate of origin are usually signed through a semiofficial organization, such as a local chamber of commerce. A certificate may still be required even if the commercial invoice contains the information.

A NAFTA certificate of origin is required for products traded among the NAFTA countries (Canada, the United States, and Mexico).

Inspection certification is required by some purchasers and countries in order to attest to the specifications of the goods shipped. This is usually performed by a third party and often obtained from independent testing organizations.

A dock receipt and a warehouse receipt are used to transfer accountability when the export item is moved by the domestic carrier to the port of embarkation and left with the ship line for export.

A destination control statement appears on the commercial invoice, and ocean or air waybill of lading to notify the carrier and all foreign parties that the item can be exported only to certain destinations.

A Shipper’s Export Declaration(SED) is used to control exports and act as a source document for official U.S. export statistics. SEDs must be prepared for shipments through the U.S. Postal Service when the shipment is valued over $500. SEDs are required for shipments not using the U.S. Postal Service when the value of the commodities, classified under any single Schedule B number, is over $2,500. SEDs must be prepared, regardless of value, for all shipments requiring an export license or destined for countries restricted by the Export Administration Regulations. SEDs are prepared by the exporter or the exporter’s agent and delivered to the exporting carrier (for example, the post office, airline, or vessel line). The exporting carrier will present the required number of copies to the U.S. Customs Service at the port of export (see . Often, the SED is prepared as a by-product of another document, the Shipper’s Letter of Instructions.

An export license is a government document that authorizes the export of specific goods in specific quantities to a particular destination. This document may be required for most or all exports to some countries or for other countries only under special circumstances.

An export packing list considerably more detailed and informative than a standard domestic packing list. It an itemizes the material in each individual package and indicates the type of package, such as a box, crate, drum, or carton. It also shows the individual net, legal, tare, and gross weights and measurements for each package (in both U.S. and metric systems). Package markings should be shown along with the shipper’s and buyer’s references. The list is used by the shipper or forwarding agent to determine the total shipment weight and volume and whether the correct cargo is being shipped. In addition, U.S. and foreign customs officials may use the list to check the cargo.

An insurance certificate is used to assure the consignee that insurance will cover the loss of or damage to the cargo during transit.

International Export Documentation must be precise because slight discrepancies or omissions may prevent merchandise from being exported, result in nonpayment, or even result in the seizure of the exporter’s goods by U.S. or foreign government customs. Collection documents are subject to precise time limits and may not be honored by a bank if the time has expired. Most documentation is routine for freight forwarders and customs brokers, but the exporter is ultimately responsible for the accuracy of its documents.

The number and kind of documents the exporter must deal with varies depending on the destination of the shipment. Because each country has different import regulations, the exporter must be careful to provide all proper documentation. The following sources also provide information pertaining to foreign import restrictions:

Export Assistance Centers (see http://www.doc.gov).

The Trade Information Center (1-800-USA-TRADE).

Foreign government embassies and consulates in the United States

International Shipping

The handling of International transportation is similar for domestic and export orders. Export marks are added to the standard information on a domestic bill of lading. These marks show the name of the exporting carrier and the latest allowed arrival date at the port of export. Instructions for the inland carrier to notify the international freight forwarder by telephone upon arrival should also be included.

Exporters may find it useful to consult with a freight forwarder when determining the method of international shipping. Since carriers are often used for large and bulky shipments, the exporter should reserve space on the carrier well before actual shipment date. This reservation is called the booking contract.

International shipments are increasingly made on a through bill of lading under a multimodal contract. The multimodal transit operator (frequently one of the transporters) takes charge of and responsibility for the entire movement from factory to final destination.

The cost of the shipment, the delivery schedule, and the accessibility to the shipped product by the foreign buyer are all factors to consider when determining the method of international shipping. Although air carriers can be more expensive, their cost may be offset by lower domestic shipping costs (for example, using a local airport instead of a coastal seaport) and quicker delivery times. These factors may give the U.S. exporter an edge over other competitors.

Before shipping, the U.S. firm should be sure to check with the foreign buyer about the destination of the goods. Buyers often want the goods to be shipped to a free-trade zone or a free port where they are exempt from import duties.

Shipping Insurance

Damaging weather conditions, rough handling by carriers, and other common hazards to cargo make insurance an important protection for U.S. exporters. If the terms of sale make the exporter responsible for insurance, the exporter should either obtain its own policy or insure the cargo under a freight forwarder’s policy for a fee. If the terms of sale make the foreign buyer responsible, the exporter should not assume (or even take the buyer’s word) that adequate insurance has been obtained. If the buyer neglects to obtain adequate coverage, damage to the cargo may cause a major financial loss to the exporter.

Shipments by sea are covered by marine cargo insurance .

International Air shipments may also be covered by marine cargo insurance or insurance may be purchased from the air carrier.

Export shipments are usually insured against loss, damage, and delay in transit by cargo insurance. Carrier liability is frequently limited by international agreements. Additionally, the coverage is substantially different from domestic coverage. Arrangements for insurance may be made by either the buyer or the seller, in accordance with the terms of sale. Exporters are advised to consult with international insurance carriers or freight forwarders for more information.

Although sellers and buyers can agree to different components, coverage is usually placed at 110 percent of the CIF (cost, insurance, freight) or CIP (carriage and insurance paid to) value.

International Tariffs

Finally, it is very important to consider the effects of tariffs, port handling fees, and taxes when determining your product’s final cost as they can be high. Typically, the importer pays these charges. However, these costs will influence how much the buyer is willing to pay for your product.

TIPS ON PACKING

Each International move is unique and different – different shipments will require different levels of packing for the move. It is important to communicate your packing needs to your driver over the Q&A system before you accept a bid. Some drivers provide full service packing, some will provide blankets and plastic wrap, and some will expect you to have your items packed before they arrive for pick-up. Communication is critical to being sure you are prepared for the pick-up day.

You can save a lot of money if you do the bulk of the packing on your own. Limit yourself to non-fragile items such as books, linens, clothing and shoes; and replaceable items such as plates, dishes (not fine china or expensive silverware), and small kitchen appliances. These items will be cheaper to replace in case of damage as opposed to hiring workers for the extra labor. Leave the furniture, mattresses, and heavy appliances to be packed by the mover.

The heavier the item, the smaller the box it should occupy. Don’t toss everything into one huge box. It will make the hauling much more difficult. A good rule of thumb is if you can’t lift the box easily, it’s too heavy! Keep the weight of the box under 50lbs and remember to always lift with your knees, not your back.

You should never let the movers pack your jewelry, family heirlooms, or other priceless items. Should they be lost or damaged, the insurable value will not come anywhere near the value you would place on them. Such items include jewelry, sports memorabilia, photo albums, and various hobby collections. Pack these items yourself and take them with you, either in the car or as carry-on luggage if size allows.

Get the proper boxes for your items – the right sizes and strengths. You can purchase all sizes of boxes at special member rates at our Shipping Supply Store. Have enough wardrobe boxes, as they’ll save you ironing time later. You can pack t-shirts and jeans in suitcases and regular boxes but you don’t want to pack your fine clothing such as suits or dresses in the same place.Save space by tossing in shoes at the bottom of the wardrobe box, but be reasonable. Don’t let the box become too heavy or susceptible to fallout from the bottom. Purchase the padded dish boxes with dividers to protect your fine china. For your replaceable and non-fragile items, save money by using the free boxes that you can obtain from supermarkets and wrapping the items in old newspaper.

Take the time to pack everything carefully. It is important for you to buffer and separate the fragile items that you pack with old newspaper, bubble wrap, sheets, blankets, pillows and towels. Wrap each fragile item separately. Fill in empty spaces to minimize movement during transit. Pack plates and glass objects vertically, rather than flat and stacked. Purchase strong tape- not masking tape but either duct tape or the plastic and strapping tape that movers use.

For the safety of your items, movers should inspect each box tendered for shipment. Immediately point out to your mover each and every box that you packed yourself, especially if they’re fragile or valuable. The mover will advise you on whether the boxes need to be repacked in sturdier, more appropriate boxes. They have the right to refuse to load any box they deem improperly packed. Any improperly packed boxes must be repacked either by you or the mover. All repacking services may cost more. However, if you agree to use used boxes, they may give them to you for free.Professional moving companies use only sturdy and reinforced cartons. Although the boxes you can obtain from your neighborhood supermarket may be free, they are not nearly as strong or padded. They are more susceptible to causing damage to your valuables in transit. Keep in mind that movers are not liable for items they didn’t pack.

To protect themselves, movers will not disconnect your major appliances. Before the movers arrive to pack and load, unplug and prep your refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, washer and dryer. Also prep your computer and back-up your important files.

Movers will not transport or allow you pack hazardous materials. These items include: paint, thinners, solvents, oils, varnishes, firearms and ammunition, bottled gas, propane, lamp oil, anything flammable, explosive or corrosive, motor fuels and oils, nail polish remover, bleach and aerosol cans. Also note that spilled sesame oil leaves a terrible stench on nearby items.

Make the loading process easier and more organized by designating a room in your home/apartment, preferably the one closest to the door, in which to place all of your boxes. Keep related boxes together since they’ll end up in the same room. This will help cut on the carrying time and make the move much more efficient.

ocean shipping

Our company has partnered with reliable NVOCC licensed by the FMC (Federal Maritime Commission) offering Ocean Freight or overseas relocation by sea for your goods. As a licensed NVOCC agent, we are able to coordinate logistics directly with our preferred steamship lines—guaranteeing excellent, accurate rates and the most current information.

If you are shipping a small amount of goods, there is no need to worry about being charged for extra space in your shipment container. Our company performs constant consolidations from anywhere in the USA as well as the rest of the world! Regardless of where you are moving from or moving to, Our International Shipping’s crew of professionally trained international movers will carefully pack your goods and add your shipment to our ongoing consolidations. Each small shipment is separately crated and properly labeled so that shipments are not confused with someone else’s in the same container. Our Company will only bill each client for the volume he or she actually uses, rather than for the entire container.

If a client ships enough goods to completely fill a 20ft or 40ft container, we will provide him or her with an exclusive container. Clients will also be able to choose whether to have us pack their household goods or to pack them themselves. Once packing has been completed, we will pick up the container and take care of the rest. Live loads allowance is usually 2 hrs, otherwise container can be loaded at customer site and the per hour rate will apply.

What will this cost?

  Clients are only billed for the actual volume they use for shipping their goods. The final price is based on the total number of cubic feet of each client’s shipment. Our company offers professional packing services, using special materials to ensure maximum protection and security. Your shipment is then brought to our warehouse where it will be measured a final time. Using this final measurement, we will generate a bill for the cost of shipping your goods overseas using only the total number of cubic feet for your shipment.

Packing and special crates

  Our Company uses only the best in packing materials designed specifically for international relocation. We use a combination of corrugated paper and padded materials to secure your goods. Many unlicensed, unreliable movers will charge additionally for packing your goods and cut corners by using cheap packing materials. Neighborhood Parcel uses only the most effective packing materials and never charges for packing—packing and packing materials are already included in the total cost.
If you wish to ship any items that require additional protection, Neighborhood Parcel will custom crate your goods. We offer custom creates, wood-free crates and other specialty crates made in our own private facility. Neighborhood Parcel is pleased to be able to offer custom crates, built by our own carpenters, to suit the special and specific needs of every client who needs them.

A Wide Variety of Services:

  Neighborhood Parcel offers a wide variety of Ocean Freight services to choose from based on your personal international relocation needs and budget. Most commonly used, door-to-door Ocean Freight is a full service option preferred by many clients. For our door-to-door services, our company will send a crew of professionally trained overseas movers to your residence. Our overseas movers will pack all of your goods directly into a container or transport them to our warehouse for storage. From there, your shipment will be transported to the port of departure where it will go through customs. Once your shipment has arrived via Ocean Freight and cleared customs, Neighborhood Parcel will deliver your shipment to your new residence. A crew of professional overseas movers will unpack your shipment and remove any packing materials at your residence.

Neighborhood Parcel also offers:

Port-to-Port shipping.

Port-to-Door shipping.

Door-to-Port shipping.

Airport to Airport Shipping.

Live Loads

Drop and Pick up.

Customers have the option to load containers themselves. Neighborhood Parcel can leave the container at a client’s residence for 2 hours or overnight—whatever is most convenient! Once a client has completed loading his/her container, we will transport the container to the port of departure and see the shipment through from there.

Our international automobile shipping company normally follows the actual route for shipping a car overseas. Thus, while following the actual route for shipping car overseas we take 10 to 12 days or up to 4 weeks. Thus, being an international car shipping company for shipping a car overseas we give the notice of shipment dates to our International and US customers accordingly. For shipping car overseas, an international car shipping company like ours will confirm you the time schedule for the shipment once you decide the items you want to ship. You can place your order for shipping cars overseas and the dates will be scheduled accordingly.

can manage your export documents or your inbound customs clearance process through our partners handling your international vehicle shipment. You can choose the Neighborhoodparcel.com partner or the Freight Forwarder of your choice to issue the required export forms. Prior to your vehicle shipping internationally, you will need to provide all commercial invoices and sign export instructions.

Many foreign governments have laws that can effect your international vehicle shipment and impose duties on your cargo shipment. Please be prepared to provide receipts for any new merchandise in your international vehicle shipment. Our partners strive to accurately inform you of all potential charges you may face for the international shipment of your vehicle. Any destination and importation charges accrued through the port of destination are ultimately the cargo owner’s responsibility.

Here is a list of some of the overseas vehicle transportation options we offer:

Global export of used Cars.

Port-to-Port relocation of your vehicle with varying shipment methods

Containerized shipping (FCL & LCL)

Roll-on Roll-off (RO-RO) shipping

On-deck conventional car shipping

Many optional extras, such as insurance coverage for your vehicle while in transport

International Car RO-RO Shipping:

Roll-on Roll-off car ferry services are offered at many destinations. Car carriers, specifically built for this purpose, are used to transport vehicles safely overseas across the globe. Through this shipment method, cars are protected from the elements in sealed car decks in which they are secured to the deck. RO-RO shipping is an abbreviation for the term Roll-on Roll-off—when cargo is driven on and then off of the vessel. RO-RO shipping can be used to transport tractors, cars, buses, truck or over-sized cargo overseas by loading them onto lowboy, flatbed trailers and shipping them by sea.

Why ship using RO-RO? RO-RO is a wonderful mode of shipping for several different circumstances. If you are making a shipment other than household goods, they may not fit into a container—items such as large vehicles, boats, machinery, etc. RO-RO offers a great amount of flexibility when you are shipping items of a large size overseas during your international relocation. Equally as important, RO-RO is extremely cost effective. Often times, vehicles will fit inside a container, however, relocating them via using RO-RO is far less expensive.

Car Shipping with an Exclusive Container:

You may also choose to ship your vehicle in an exclusive container or a shared container which consolidates the total load and tends to be more cost-effective. We can either pick your vehicle up from your residence or you can bring it to our warehouse yourself, whichever is more convenient for you. Once we have received or picked up your vehicle, our professionally trained international relocation staff will gently load your vehicle into the container 20′ or 40′, bracing and lashing it inside, in which it will be shipped overseas. It is then carefully secured into position so that it will remain protected and will not shift while being transported. Once secured, NY International Shipping will then carefully transport the container holding your vehicle to the port of departure. The container will go through customs prior to being loaded onto the vessel on which it will make its overseas journey.

Your items from household to industrial parts are professionally packaged and shipped on time to ensure safe arrival. Our International container shipping experts will guide you through the process from A to Z and can answer all your questions.

Port to Port: Container will be picked up from port A and delivered to port B, customer is responsible to clear customers fees and arrange delivery to his address.

Door to Door: This is where we do all the work, we deliver the container to customer, he / she loads it within 24 Hrs and gets it delivered to its destination, custom broker is assigned to clear customers and collect payment then deliver to customer’s address. This option my be more expensive than Port to Port.

Door To Port: We deliver the container to customer’s address and ship it to the destination port, customer clears customs and pay or arrange for delivery to his addressfull Container Load (FCL)

A full container load (FCL) is cargo moving in a single rigid, sealed, reusable metal box in which the merchandise is shipped by an ocean carrier. All containers will have construction fittings, or fastenings able to withstand, without permanent distortion, all stresses that may be applied in normal service use of continuous transportation. Shipping full containers helps lower shipping costs.

Less Than Container Load (LCL)

Our expert consolidation service can combine smaller shipments (LCL) that are going to the same destination port, and provide you with reduced shipping costs. At the port of destination, we carefully consolidated the shipment and deliver to the final destination. A less than container load (LCL) shipment is a shipment of cargo that does not fill a container and is merged with cargo for more than one consignee or from more than one shipper. LCL freight costs are based on a dollar amount per cubic meter.

We offers standard 20’ and 40’ ocean shipping containers and the following specialized equipment:
•	40’ and 45’ High Cubes
•	20’ & 40’ Open Top
•	20’ & 40’ Flat Rack
•	20’ & 40’ Reefer (refrigerated containers)

Less than Container Loads:

LCL or “Less than Container Load”. This term is commonly used to describe a Ocean freight service that designed for shipping boxed, crated or pallet’s cargo from or to the USA that cannot fill an entire 20 or 40 foot Ocean freight container. In this case your Household good will be loaded into a container with other LTL shipments. Don’t worry, it will be clearly marked so your household items won’t be lost or mixed with other.There are many advantages of LCL Ocean freight service vs. using FCL (full container load):

Low Shipping Cost:

When you share a 40 OR 20 foot freight container with one or more Customers that import or export goods to or from the USA. You pay only for the space used but not for a whole sea freight container.

As a rule the transit time will be the same as if you would ship a full container and most likely it will be faster if you use a service from an International moving company.

Typically the LCL ocean freight rates are calculated is by cubic space volume (per cubic meter/cubic foot) and not by weight.
